"I've been a huge hardcore fan since I was in middle school, even more so in the past year. I've always wanted someone to make an edit to some of the bands I listened to, but I got tired of waiting and decided to do it myself." - Stefan Brandow.

I've watched Oscar Sosa become a young blooded spot killer in the last 2-3 years that I've known him. He is not afraid to drop hammers or give a spot his all. He rolls up to a spot and throws his hardest tricks down. Not to impress one, but to keep progressing. There are times when I won't see him for a few weeks and the difference in his skating is noticeable!
I am constantly telling him, "When did you learn that??" or "That was ridiculous!" Others have taken notice of this fact! Pros, AMs, the average rollerblader all taken notice when Oscar's shedding on streets and skateparks. What's more impressive is how humble he is.
What I pieced together here are mostly year old clips leftover from 'Take Your Time'. I didn't want the footage to languish away on my hard drive and Oscar's been asked why he doesn't have an edit up yet. I hope this is the start of Oscar filming more often!
Additional footage by Jeremy Soderberg.

A few days ago Chynna and I headed up to the Secret Garden, a new DIY spot the Detroit bladers have been building, to film a few tricks on the first completed obstacle- a 14' cement ledge with a metal edge. Here's the few tricks we got before the rain really started coming down.
Chynna is still recovering from a separated ligament in her left ankle. She has one more surgery on it and then should be healthy by the winter.
We start work tomorrow on the next obstacle at the garden- a 5' quarterpipe- and we have extensive plans past that. This will no doubt be only the first of many SG edits.
Chynna rides for Razors, Modern Skate Park, proVoke, and Create Originals.

Camp Woodward has been a part of my life since I was 14. I remember the first time going to camp I couldn't believe all the parks and tons of bladers to kick it with. I made friends then that I still keep in touch with today. Over the years I have watched the Inline program at camp decrease in size each and every summer..Needless to say this has been a huge bummer. I went back to work this summer for a few weeks in the hopes of showing the kids the good experiences I remember from camp. Having the contests, getting the prizes, pushing them to skate harder and harder every day. I think it is important for all of blading that we help grow the Inline program at Woodward. These kids are the future, and if only 4 kids show up for a week at camp that sucks, lets do our best to promote skating to the next generation so the numbers can be huge again! These clips were shot during my stay there of the staff working for the Inline program.

Starting off the first of the Heatwave Series from Soflo is Safe Journey.
For our first Heatwave, we could think none other better than our brother Safe Journey. Safe has been a staple part of the SoFlo crew since its inception. His trick selection and attention to detail are spot on. Oh, and did we mention he's 32? And he's got no signs of letting up. So watch Safe shred in our main segment "Heatwave".
